The “Broken” Health Care System

Is it broken?

So much for a “broken” health care system, Americans enjoy much higher cancer survival rates and better access to certain treatment than people who receive free health care in Europe and Canada [1,2]. And these are merely a few benefits we often take for granted. The National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA) lists quite a few more in a recent report [1].

President Obama: Please Do What You Said!

President Obama, in affirming his support for the disposed former Honduras President Zelaya, said earlier in Moscow today:

We do so not because we agree with him. We do so because we respect the universal principle that people should choose their own leaders, whether they are leaders we agree with or not. [1]

Really?  I did some digging on the Honduras Constitution.  Unfortunately, there is not an English translation around, so I must rely on free online translators.  They do a decent job and agree well with how people who speak Spanish translate them [2].  Here is what Article 239 says:

Great Leap Forward on Green Energy

This week, while Congress is trying to rush through the cap-and-trade legislation, President Obama is busy selling his green energy initiative.  He  promises, as he did before, to transform this aspect of the American economy while saving the planet from the illusive man-made global warming (wonder why “climate change” is the preferred terminology nowadays?).  In the process, he will dump hundreds of billions into the  “green” energy industry and create millions of “green” jobs [1]
